Wahnsinns Teil!!! Göttertrunk!"

"Great continental Enmore. Heavy fruit, crisp wood, spice and subtle sweetness form a flavor profile that is absolutely thrilling, even in direct comparison with other Enmores from 1992. Great selection."

Meilleure critique de Oliver :
"Incredibly complex and intense nose - to fall in love! First association was Hampden. Boiled down, tropical fruit, peach and pleasant esters - not too funky. The 38 years in the barrel rounded it out to perfection. Wow, a real explosion on the palate, this is also where the Long Pond character comes out. Perfectly balanced yet complex. Very pleasant bitterness. In the finish, some smoke is added.Outstanding! Absolutely exceptional Jamaican."

"If you expect a classic NY profile with lots of fruit esters, you'll be surprised - there's far less fruit bomb here than extremely tasty salted caramel candy. A decidedly elegant potpourri of caramel sweetness, fine minerality, vanilla, oak and subtle cocoa bitterness. In addition, tropical fruit notes, which at no time play in the foreground, but deliver an extremely entertaining play of flavors in addition to the aforementioned protagonists. Great release and a highlight among the 1994 New Yarmouths."

"Relatively relaxed PM profile with spices and dry fruits and nicely balanced green notes. The palate reveals a flavorful complexity of wood, dried fruit, tea, cinnamon, chocolate and subtle pastry notes. The result is an elegant balance between tart wood influences and green spice notes, the delicate sweetness of the dried fruit and pastry notes, and elegant toastiness in the finish. Successful barrel selection!"

"The REVs actually continue to gain with increasing age. Compared to other releases a little less intense on the characteristic dried plum aroma, but with much more aromatic complexity by very present, but not exuberant wood influence, a slight floral impact and gallant spicy notes, which put the heavy sweetness a very appealing counterpart. Excellent release."

"Very round profile with the typical Versailles pencil notes. In addition to these somewhat metallic-mineral wood notes, nice hints of tea, subtle sweetness, anise, licorice and yellow fruits. The alcohol is impressively well integrated - the profile is almost easy sipping at this alcohol strength, meaning very balanced, yet aromatically complex at the same time. Excellent barrel selection!"

"A rum tasted in a bar. Superb nose of mechanical workshop and fresh pineapple. You immediately feel transported to a motorcycle repair shop, with the sun beating down and the tires heating up. You can feel the alcohol on the palate, and then the aromas take over. A certain acidity makes the palate very fresh. Like an acidic but very tasty passion fruit. Vanilla and wood, thick fat. The finish is extremely long, with tropical fruit and machine shop. A fine representative of the '99 vintage. The marked acidity on the palate loses it a few points, but it's still an exceptional rum that makes you want to have more. The empty glass is splendid!"

Meilleure critique de TheRhumhoe :
"Very pretty nose, typical of Versailles. Big herbaceous notes of thyme and tea fill the nostrils with freshness, followed by notes of pencil shavings and resinous sap. The oak is discreet, while the spices show the tip of their nose with anise, licorice, pepper and smokier notes of incense. Citrus zest and prunes make way for medicinal notes ranging from beeswax to polish. A remarkably deep and complex nose. The attack on the palate is very pleasant. The oily, refined character blends well with the depth and complexity of the aromas. Flavors of aromatic herbs, tea, pencil shavings and tobacco appear on a more earthy, vegetal bent, followed by a profusion of spices ranging from licorice, anise, cloves, pepper and vanilla. Toasty oak goes hand in hand with leather, which lends a bit of bitterness with the herbs. Molasses, honey and caramel add a little sweetness to this subtle but very complex profile. The alcohol is very well integrated. The finish is rather delicate and refined, but lingers on the palate with herbaceous notes (thyme, tea), dried fruit (grape, apricot), pencil and tobacco notes, oak and caramelized notes leading to molasses. The spices are relatively mild, but tantalize the palate with rather seductive touches of honey, toast and salt. A superb antique Enmore, of which there must be very few left on earth."

"Cracked open the next 3 from the batch I got from my wife. This is a really nice and warming Foursquare. Fruity with spices and nice wood. Price to quality is OK at release but they popped up ppm auction pretty fast."

"When buying Distilia releases you know that you will spend more than average on your bottle. This one was not disappointing. The nose promises more than the palate can deliver, though the overall impression is still good. 32 year in a barrel has a tendency to leave heavy wood notes and some bitterness and that's what you'll find here. Heavy yet well balanced notes. Be aware that the wood is taking first row 😊 The empty glass reveals even clearer notes."
