"Le nez est sacrément gourmand et pâtissier ! On a une belle tarte au sucre brûlé avec du fruité à gogo (de la noix de coco, de la banane, du raisin sec, des agrumes …). L’ensemble est parfaitement équilibré et harmonieux. En bouche, c’est tout aussi agréable et crémeux. On est moins sur les fruits (hormis les agrumes) mais plus sur le doux cacao et les épices. Et on retrouve ces notes de torréfaction ! La finale est longue et fine sur les épices et le boisé avec un zeste d’orange. Ma foi, il est bon ce Diamond 2001. Il me fait un peu penser au El Dorado Skeldon mais en Dark"

Nez Intense, ester, bois, fruité, surmûri, encaustique, agrumes légers. Bouche Intense, chaude, boisée, fruitée, agrumes, ananas, polie, torréfiée. "#4858 Whisky Live à Paris 27.09.2024-30.09.2024. Un autre grand événement où j'ai rencontré beaucoup de nouveaux et d'anciens amis de RumX. Cette année, il n'y avait pas autant de nouveautés qu'en 2023, mais j'ai quand même passé un bon moment. Nez Frais, moyennement intense, fruité, ananas léger, trop mûr, banane, menthe légère, ester léger, colle légère. Bouche Boisé léger, ester léger, moyennement sec, légèrement torréfié, fruité, ananas, épices, chocolat léger. Finale Longue, bois léger, torréfaction légère, chaude, moyennement sèche, banane, chocolat léger. Une très bonne édition, mais je pense que le prix ne correspond pas à ce que l'on obtient réellement."

This year three weren't as many new releases as in 2023, but I still had a great time. Nose Light wood, faint smoke, light pineapple, faint caramel, light orange, spice, faint glue, fruits Palate Warm, light wood, faint roasted, fruity, banana, light pineapple, light caramel, faint chocolate, medium spicy. Finish Medium to long, wood, light roasted, fruits, light pineapple, faint citrus, medium spicy, faint chocolate. Not a bad release but the price doesn't match what you get 😊"

"Un rhum de Barbade embouteillé par The Wild Parrot et qui est étonnamment léger. Il n’y a pas la moindre agressivité que ce soit au nez comme au palais. Le nez est réservé, mais on reconnaît les épices douces, le chocolat, quelques fruits (fruits secs notamment) et des saveurs sucrées et pâtissières. L’attaque en bouche est très timide, les saveurs peinent à se libérer. Les mêmes saveurs s’estompent rapidement et malgré les 51,2 degrés, on ressent une sensation de dilution qui gâche le plaisir gustatif. La finale est aussi relativement courte et peu mémorable. Un rhum malheureusement trop timide, trop en retrait par rapport à d’autres cuvées de Barbade ou de Wild Parrot et qui ne peut rivaliser avec les standards actuels, sauf en termes de prix, ici totalement démesuré."
