The interplay between fruit, plant aromas and spices provides an experience on the tongue. The longer it lingers and especially in the finish, the Agricole note comes out. I like quite well"

"8,5:On the nose, the first impression is rich and powerful, a bit perfumed with notes of toffee, nougat, vanilla, chocolate, coconut, dates, tobacco and macadamia nuts, minimally caramelized with strong molasses. There are some roasted nuts, soy sauce, leather, medicinal notes and a resin. When aeration, it becomes a bit smoky and is vegetal with camp fire, heather, really Islay whisky like.A very complex rum. 8,5:On the palate, the first attack a salty taste (salted butter caramel), very agricole like, then grilled meat, a bit ashy and dark chocolate, we could say umami, is round, balanced. It becomes spicy, vegetal, with a camphor. We find our strong liquorice candied, molasses mixed with soy sauce. Later we get some tonka beans and cinnamon. 8,2:The finish is fresh, bittersweet, woody, spicy with licorice, perhaps some resin, even juniper notes and a hint of caramel, blackcurrant. What an unexpected, pleasant surprise!👌"

"Habe ein Sample-Set der 4 neuen Sea Shepherd von Kirsch gewonnen. DANKE 🙏. Hier nun der tropisch gereifte Melasse-Zuckerrohrsaft-Rum aus Brasilien, mit einem Finish im Amburana-Holz-Fass… Nase: karamellig-fruchtig mit einer würzigen Pfeifentabak-Note. Getrocknete Aprikose und Feige, dazu Banane und Papaya. Duftholz mit Vanille. Vollmundig und sehr angenehm. 8,2 Gaumen: kräuterig-würzig mit einer fruchtigen, holzigen Süße. Kardamom mit Muskat und Koriander und im Gegenspiel eine leichte Note Sauerkirsche und Himbeere sowie Kamille, Heu und Sesam. Hinten kommt fein der Pfeifentabak durch. Etwas zu viel Kardamom, sonst interessant. 7,6 Ungewöhnliche aber gute Mischung aus Melasse und Zuckerrohrsaft und dann noch Amburana Holz."

"Sehr sehr leckerer cachaça - finished in Portweinfässern. Gefällt mir richtig gut! Hat was von flüssigen Zimtschnecken nur ohne besonders süß zu sein. Schöne Würze, nicht zu viel Holz, Cachaça als Basis dennoch erkennbar und einfach ein unfassbar leckerer sipping cachaça was man in der Kategorie eher selten hat. Könnte nur 2-3% mehr haben dann wäre er perfekt. Dennoch sehr geile Neu-Entdeckung vom GRF2021!"
