"Tried to use this rum in a rum/raisin cake and the result was amazing. This is a rum in the cheaper end of the spectrum and it's definitely a good beginner rum. Not as sweet as the rums from Riise, but getting close to it. The nose is light and sweet with chocolate, vanilla and oak with a touch of butterscotch. The palate is sweet with chokolate and nougat, but it also has a slight bitterness with nuts and fruits. The endof the palate has smoke to it. The finish is sweet with smoky leather and vanilla. Price to quality is very good."

"02.10.2016 - 03.10.2016 A great extended weekend with rum friends. This was a nice event and lots of space between the tables. Only problem was the level of English at some of the exhibitors. Here are the rums we tasted at the event itself, nothing truly unique but we had fun. This is the first half of the tastings. Notes Medium dark in colour. Nose Light, wood, light roasted, cinnamon, sweet, light caramel, orange. Palate Light, wood, light caramel, faint nutts, light chocolate, faint smoke, citrus, sweet. Finish Short to medium, fruits, caramel, light chocolate, orange, sweet."
