"Thanks to the RumX Team for this great opportunity!! Unfortunately, I missed the only tasting due a delayed flight… This one took the third place in my tasting, very fruity, with some nice notes of furniture waxes, bitter orange and honey. A really nice daily driver, without looling on the price tag!"

"Tasted for the first time at ProWein in Düsseldorf. Lots of green apple and herbs (dill?) on the nose. On the palate creamy sweet (in a positive sense) and spicy floral. Some nutmeg and green fruits again. After half an hour the rum opens up and you are rewarded with a great balanced profile. Spicy, some floral and a pleasant sweetness. Alcohol very well integrated."

"Un rhum goûté au Rum and Gin Festival à Lucerne en 2023 et 2024. Un nez très végétal, floral avec de l’olive verte, des fruits jaunes et du lierre. La bouche est pleine d’arômes avec beaucoup d’olive verte et toutes sortes d’herbes et des fruits. La finale est assez longue avec des arômes végétaux, du tabac frais, du bois de cèdre et surtout de la gousse de vanille."

"Nice nose with notes from the cask, dried fruits and some glue. Very enjoyable. Complex and elegant on the palate. Presenting dried fruits and lots of spices (cinnamon) in an excellent balance. Influence from the cognac cask is noticeable. Alcohol is very well integrated."

"Looking at the price tag you get a lot for your money in this one as well. Very fresh and fruity from opening the bottle and warm on the palate with some ester. I have tried a few HERR and this one is not fully up to par with the average. The 2019 is still my personal favourite ☺️"

"what a grenade!!🤤⚡💥🤯🇷🇪 incredibly complex. After 1H of breathing, cinnamon pastry, apple pockets and honey banana on the nose. Plus Incredibly mild for 65%, horny sour cherry, pineapple, strawberry and mint, chamomile olive notes and very complex and dangerously drinkable. Musty, fermented and glue-heavy to no end. This thing is definitely the full broadside of Savanna Grande arome as it gets! The lava and Madras are here but I find even a good track geiler!"

"Little Savanna GA & HERR cross tasting: On the nose the SdS starts off more towards spices (turmeric) and herbal notes (menthol) while the other contestants have more accentuates fruity notes right from the start. Over (a rather long) time, the SdS gravitates towards the Edition Blanc, while the latter one is more balanced. The SdS retains this little extra accent towards spices. On the palate the fruits clearly take over. Again not as well balanced as the Edition Blanc but with a bit more fruity notes and intensity almost as good in my book."

"Tag 9 im RumX-Ester-Kalender, blind. Dass hier trotz Ester kein Jamaika im Glas ist, war wohl schnell klar. Relativ schnell ging mein Tipp dann auch nach Réunion zu Savanna, da sich vor allem im Abgang das typische Profil der Destille zeigt. Unglaublich komplexe Nase, die aus dem Glas schon entgegenströmt und nahezu alles bietet: Frucht, schokoladige Noten, pflanzliches, Menthol, das macht Spaß! Am Gaumen dann schließlich etwas dunkler, rostiger, ja sogar bitterer, aber in einem angenehmen Maß. Dazu weiterhin eine bunte Ladung Ester, sodass keine Daseinsberechtigungen für den Kalender fehlen. Tolle Abfüllung und perfekt für diese Aktion!"

"A rum tasted at the Rhum Fest in 2024 and at the Masterclass for RumX 2024. A nose that vacillates between dark, woody, spicy, very lightly tarred and fruity (pear) and vegetal. The freshness is perhaps a little lacking. The palate is fruity with spices, wood and less vegetal than on the nose. The finish is rather short on yellow fruit and citrus. Spices and a hint of tar at the very end. The empty glass is beautiful."
