Schöner alter Panama Rum! Nougat, Kirsche, rote Beerenfrüchte, Vanille und dunkle Schokolade, sowie intensive Tannine vom Eichenfass. Relativ adstringierend im Abgang. Schönes Release, welcher sich vom 2001er Spirit Traveller Release doch deutlich unterscheidet. Deutlich Holziger, trockener und weniger Nutella Süße im Vergleich..
Ich bin durch Nicolas Kanal vor 1 Jahr zum rum gekommen und auch member. Leider kann ich mit den doch recht süßen Kreationen von Wagemut leider kaum etwas anfangen auch wenn ich unbedingt möchte. Ich habe ziemlich viel probiert und alle sind sehr ähnlich viel Sherry Einfluss und süß. Diese Abfüllung liebe ich aber. Nicht überfordernd aber trotzdem komplex perfekter Alkohol gehabt gut eingebunden. Der einzig gute Rum aus Panama den ich bisher hatte. Ich würde mir so sehr wünschen Wagemut würde mehr richtige gut gelagerten Rum anbieten, für den ich dann gern auch 200 Euro zahlen würde. Der einstiegsbereich hat sicher seine Berechtigung schön wäre eventuell eine zweite members pro Mitgliedschaft im der ein etwas fortgeschrittener Geschmack bedient wird.
An der Nase süßliche Vanille vielleicht mit einer kirschigen Note. Am Gaumen dann schönes tiefes Aroma. Er hat zwar seinen gewisse Intensivtät. Aber nie übertrieben oder störend. Wahrscheinlich sollte man ihn atmen lassen amber das Leben ist kurz.
Panama kenne ich zumeist von Sebastians Ron Artesano. Immer sehr stabil und mit Holz, Nuss, Vanille und angenehmer, leichter süße. Keine weltbewegenden und outstanding Spirits, aber stabil und sehr gut. Dieser hier schlägt fast in dieselbe Kerbe wie Artesano. Sehr viel Vanille und Nuss. Intensiv, mit spürbarer Alloholnote, aber gut eingebunden. Nicht spektakulär, aber einfach gut und intensiv, Knackt locker die 8.
