"Ein Besuch der Takamaka-Destillerie lohnt sich! Während der Pandemie hat sich die Destillerie neben ihrer qualitativ hochwertigerem Pot-Still aus frischem Zuckerrohrsaft von den Seychellen in sehr kleinen Mengen ein zweites Standbein durch eine dreifach Column-Still aufgebaut, die mit Molasse aus dem Ausland (Mauritius) arbeitet. Damit kann kontinuierlich in großen Mengen produziert werden, wobei hiermit das Cocktail- and Anfängersegment bedient wird. Zepis Kreol stammt jedoch aus dem Mittelsegment, da er auch Potstillanteile und eine etwas aufwändigere Lagerung als die des unteren Segments besitzt. Dieser Rum muss eigentlich als gewürzter Rum angesehen werden, da er mit den einheimischen Gewürzen versetzt wurde. Leider gab es neben dem Extra Noir keine weiteren Rums aus diesem Segment zur Verkostung."
